Card-to-crypto deposits
Not every customer holds crypto. Card-to-crypto lets them pay with a card or a local rail such as UPI, while a regulated on-ramp forwards a stablecoin to your Payzuno deposit address — so your integration stays entirely in crypto.
How card-to-crypto works
The customer pays fiat; you receive crypto; nobody asks you to touch a card network.
- Payzuno creates an order and a deposit address for it.
- The customer is sent to a regulated on-ramp partner and pays by card or a local method (for example UPI in India).
- The on-ramp forwards a stablecoin — such as USDC on Polygon — to that deposit address.
- Payzuno detects the on-chain deposit, credits your merchant balance, and fires a webhook.
Crediting is always on-chain
This is the same detection path used for direct crypto deposits, which means card-to-crypto reconciles exactly like any other payment on your account.
Local methods and reach
Card-to-crypto broadens who can pay you without asking those customers to understand wallets or gas. Where an on-ramp supports a local method — UPI is one example — buyers use a rail they already trust. Availability, currencies, and minimums vary by partner and country and are confirmed per deployment.
Why it matters for merchants
You get the reach of familiar payment methods with the settlement properties of crypto: no chargebacks, no rolling reserve, and same-day settlement to a wallet you control. It pairs naturally with stablecoin payments and the hosted checkout.
Frequently asked questions
What is card-to-crypto?
It lets a customer pay with a card or a local method such as UPI while you receive crypto. A regulated on-ramp collects the fiat and forwards a stablecoin to your deposit address; you only ever handle crypto.
Do I touch fiat or card data?
No. The on-ramp handles the card or bank rails and delivers crypto on-chain. Payzuno detects that deposit and credits your balance, so your integration and reconciliation stay in crypto.
Can customers pay with UPI?
Yes, where an on-ramp partner supports it — for example a UPI on-ramp settling USDC on Polygon to your deposit address. Availability and minimums vary by partner and country.
Is the deposit credited from the on-ramp callback?
No. Crediting is always driven by detecting the funds on-chain. The callback is a hint; the on-chain confirmation is the source of truth.
What are the settlement benefits?
You get familiar payment methods with crypto settlement: no chargebacks, no rolling reserve, and same-day settlement to a wallet you control.
